Key Responsibilities:
Develop, review, and implement temporary works designs, including propping, shoring, and support systems for basement construction and general building projects.
Produce detailed calculations, technical reports, and clear drawings that comply with current design standards and project requirements.
Collaborate closely with project engineers, site teams, and contractors to ensure temporary works are safe, practical, and efficiently executed.
Provide ongoing technical guidance and support throughout the construction phase, troubleshooting and resolving temporary works challenges.
Ensure all designs adhere to relevant codes, regulations, and company procedures.
Contribute to risk assessments and method statements related to temporary works.
Required Experience & Skills:
Proven experience in temporary works design, with specific basement construction experience highly desirable.
Strong understanding of construction methods, site conditions, and their impact on temporary structures.
Ability to perform calculations, prepare technical drawings, and deliver practical, compliant solutions.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
Proficiency with relevant software and structural analysis tools.
Desirable Qualifications:
Chartered (ICE or IStructE) status preferred.
Experience on large-scale civil engineering or building projects.
Demonstrated ability to innovate safe and cost-effective temporary works solutions.
