Our client is looking to add a motivated Site Engineer / Setting Out Engineer to join a growing delivery team on a range of civil engineering projects across the southeast. This role offers the opportunity to play a key part delivering interesting unique projects.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out setting out, surveying, and dimensional control duties as a Setting Out Engineer on site
Ensure all activities are delivered in line within internal systems, procedures, and policies
Monitor site conditions including movement, vibration, and environmental factors
Maintain and regularly check calibration of surveying equipment
Maintain accurate records of site activities, quality checks (QA), and ITPs
Review updated drawings and communicate any changes or discrepancies to site management
Raise technical queries and flag potential programme or sequencing issues
Experience:
Previous experience working as a Site Engineer within civil engineering or infrastructure projects
Certifications:
Full UK driving licence
Valid CSCS card - White - (Manager or Academically Qualified)
Technology & Software:
Competent with surveying equipment (EDM, Total Stations, automatic levels)
Experience with AutoDesk packages (e.g., Civils 3D, LSS preferred)
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Project
