Site Manager - High-End Residential
Location: Westminster/Camden (must be able to travel across London)
Employment Type: Permanent or Freelance
Start Date: New Year preferred (earlier start available for the right person)
A leading contractor delivering high-spec residential projects across London is looking for an experienced Site Manager to join their team. The initial project will be based in St John's Wood, with ongoing work across various London sites thereafter. Projects typically include detailed internal works, basements, and high-end finishes, with occasional elements of commercial or education.
Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day site operations and ensure all works are delivered in accordance with drawings and specifications
Review design changes, raise RFIs where required, and communicate updates promptly
Monitor progress against the programme, manage the critical path, and maintain project momentum
Oversee health and safety on site, including inductions and ongoing compliance
Organise daily workloads, allocate tasks, and ensure teams fully understand their responsibilities
Carry out setting out, check levels, and verify that all high-end works are completed accurately
Manage internal works, including basement elements
Maintain documentation, respond to emails, and keep records up to date
Ensure the project is delivered to the required standard and in line with the drawings
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Site Manager within residential construction
Strong background in high-specification residential projects
Confident with setting out and checking work to a detailed, high-quality finish
Ability to interpret drawings, manage change, and stay on top of programme delivery
Strong organisational skills and ability to run a site with minimal supervision
Flexibility to travel across multiple London sites
