Engineer - Developer Client - Norwich
Up to £55,000 + package | Hybrid working
We're supporting a major residential developer seeking an Engineer to join their Technical team in Norwich. You'll be joining a close-knit team of 4-5 people, delivering infrastructure and groundworks design across a wide range of residential developments with a strong, long-term pipeline of work.
This role suits someone from a consulting engineering background or someone currently working for a residential developer who now wants to step into a larger developer environment, gain exposure to more complex projects and embrace a new challenge with clear progression opportunities.
What you'll be doing:
Overseeing the design and detailing of infrastructure and groundworks packages
Managing external engineering consultants for foundations, roads, drainage, sewers and Section 38, 104 and 278 works
Procuring service records and enquiries, including managing payments for new service infrastructure
Securing adoption agreements (S38, S104, S278) and closing out associated bonds
Coordinating with structural specialists on superstructure design components
Conducting continuous value engineering and peer review of consultant designs
Liaising with Technical, Planning and Building Control teams to support the discharge of conditions
What you'll need:
HNC/HND or higher in an Engineering related discipline. We are open to seeing candidates from other backgrounds/ qualifications too
Minimum 5 years' post qualification experience
Background in civil or structural engineering (consulting or developer)
Confident dealing with highways authorities, utilities and water companies
Strong coordination and communication skills
Experience with Autodesk tools; PDS or MicroDrainage experience helpful but not essential
