Quantity Surveyor - Bridgwater
Site-Based Role
£55,000-£70,000 Package

A respected, medium sized contractor is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a highly regulated compound works project in Bridgwater. This is a site based position within a business known for its common-sense approach, low bureaucracy, and a supportive team culture where everyone gets involved to deliver results.

The Opportunity

You'll join a contractor that values practical thinking over unnecessary paperwork. Decisions are made quickly, communication is clear, and the environment is straightforward and collaborative. This is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a hands-on, no-nonsense delivery team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee commercial management on compound works within a regulated setting
  • Produce valuations, cost reports, forecasts, and manage variations
  • Work directly with site teams to ensure accurate, real?time commercial control
  • Support procurement and subcontract management from award through delivery
  • Maintain financial governance without heavy layers of admin
  • Identify risks early and propose practical solutions that keep the project moving

What Makes You a Strong Fit

  • Experience as a QS within civils, infrastructure, or regulated environments
  • NEC contract experience is desirable, but not essential
  • Confident communicator with a collaborative, team?focused mindset
  • Comfortable working full time on-site in Bridgwater
  • Practical thinker who values simplicity and clear processes
