Bid Writer - North / North East London (On‑Site)
Join a well‑established main contractor and play a key role in shaping high‑quality, winning bid submissions. This is a full‑time, on‑site role for a Bid Writer who enjoys working closely with preconstruction teams to produce clear, compelling and professionally crafted tender responses.
The Opportunity
You'll work as part of a collaborative preconstruction and bid function where your writing directly influences project success. This is an ideal environment for someone who enjoys taking ownership, simplifying complex technical input, and turning it into persuasive, well‑structured content.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce professionally written tender submissions, proposals and presentation materials
- Research and gather information from technical, operational and commercial teams
- Edit, proofread and refine written content to ensure clarity, accuracy and impact
- Maintain and develop a library of up‑to‑date bid content, case studies and supporting material
- Support continuous improvement across bid processes and ensure all deadlines are consistently met
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years' experience working in a construction, property or built‑environment setting
- Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills with the ability to create clear, engaging content
- Confident managing multiple deadlines and working with stakeholders across the business
- Experience producing bids for Local Authorities or frameworks is beneficial
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Adobe Suite and Indesign is an advantage
- Strong communicator with the ability to challenge, question and extract accurate information
- Degree in English, Communications, Business, or similar is preferred but not essential
