We are seeking an experienced Operations Director to lead and grow a high-performing delivery team across Ireland.
This is a pivotal leadership role with responsibility for overseeing operational and commercial performance across a strong and expanding project portfolio. With a healthy secured order book and a robust unsecured tender pipeline, this is an exciting opportunity to drive growth across major investment programmes.
The Role
Reporting at senior executive level, you will:
- Lead multiple Contracts Managers delivering complex infrastructure projects
- Oversee full commercial performance and operational excellence across the portfolio
- Ensure safe, efficient, high-quality self-delivery of works
- Drive client relationships at a senior level
- Support and lead business development activities
- Contribute strategically to continued growth across Ireland
This role is structured approximately:
- 25% Managing Down - leading, mentoring and driving performance of Contracts Managers and delivery teams
- 75% Managing Up & Outward - client engagement, commercial oversight, and business development
- Project & Portfolio Overview
- Current live portfolio management
- Pipeline growing toward €100m+ project values
- Strong secured order book
- Healthy unsecured tender pipeline
- Significant long-term investment work across Ireland
- Major infrastructure programmes underway
About You
- Proven experience in an Operations Director / Senior Operations role
- Strong self-delivery background (essential)
- Experience managing Contracts Managers and multi-project portfolios
- Commercially astute with strong P&L oversight capability
- Comfortable operating at both strategic and operational levels
- Strong client-facing and business development capability
- Experience delivering infrastructure or major capital projects in Ireland
