The Role

As Senior Building Surveyor, you will lead the delivery of a wide range of building surveying services for private clients and local authorities while acting as a key fee earner and contributor to the team's business development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing new client relationships and strengthening existing accounts.
  • Preparing competitive fee proposals and supporting revenue growth.
  • Delivering a broad spectrum of professional services including:
    • Measured and building surveys (residential and commercial)
    • Party Wall work
    • Specifications, tendering and contract documentation
    • Contract Administration
    • Dilapidations
    • Defect analysis and reporting
    • Licences to Alter (monitoring and sign‑off)
    • Supporting Expert Witness work, including site inspections and CPR35 reporting
  • Taking full ownership of projects to ensure exceptional delivery and client satisfaction.

About You

  • RICS‑accredited degree in Building Surveying
  • MRICS qualified
  • Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Highly organised, detail‑driven and commercially aware
  • Experienced in working with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office essential; CAD/BIM experience beneficial)
  • Ambitious, motivated and committed to long‑term career progression
