The Role
As Senior Building Surveyor, you will lead the delivery of a wide range of building surveying services for private clients and local authorities while acting as a key fee earner and contributor to the team's business development.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing new client relationships and strengthening existing accounts.
- Preparing competitive fee proposals and supporting revenue growth.
- Delivering a broad spectrum of professional services including:
- Measured and building surveys (residential and commercial)
- Party Wall work
- Specifications, tendering and contract documentation
- Contract Administration
- Dilapidations
- Defect analysis and reporting
- Licences to Alter (monitoring and sign‑off)
- Supporting Expert Witness work, including site inspections and CPR35 reporting
- Taking full ownership of projects to ensure exceptional delivery and client satisfaction.
About You
- RICS‑accredited degree in Building Surveying
- MRICS qualified
- Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
- Highly organised, detail‑driven and commercially aware
- Experienced in working with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary teams
- Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office essential; CAD/BIM experience beneficial)
- Ambitious, motivated and committed to long‑term career progression
