I'm representing a well-established building services consultancy who are seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to strengthen their Leeds office. The Role
As part of the Leeds team, you'll be delivering electrical designs across a range of projects, from feasibility to fully coordinated installation drawings (RIBA stages 0-5). You'll also be encouraged to mentor junior colleagues, contribute to design strategies, and represent the business in client and design team meetings.
Responsibilities
- Deliver detailed and coordinated electrical designs across different sectors
- Support and guide junior engineers and apprentices
- Review drawings, designs, and subcontractor submissions to ensure quality standards
- Attend client, contractor, and design team meetings
- Undertake feasibility studies, load calculations, and utility applications
- Conduct site inspections and compile associated reports
About You
- Degree, HNC/D, or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject
- Skilled in using industry design software
- Knowledge of current regulations, design standards, and building regulations
- Well-organised with strong time management and communication skills
- Collaborative, with the ability to take initiative when needed
- Professional membership (CIBSE/IET) advantageous but not essential
