We have a very exciting opportunity with a highly innovative construction Consultancy, who are looking for an experienced, and highly organised Cost Consultant to join their ever-growing team in Birmingham to work on some of the largest and most prestigious residential developments around the UK.
This is the perfect role for someone who would like to get hands-on exposure on some of the biggest residential-led developments in the UK, who wants to grow and reach their full potential, and someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.
The ideal Cost Consultant will be:
Prepare cost estimates and viability analyses, using the design and technical information available.
Analyse the information received and understand the items that can have a major impact on costs and value.
Be proficient in CAD and measurement software.
Assess financial, technical and operational risks.
Visit proposed development sites to understand location, topography, constraints and other factors.
Keep up to date with regulatory / legislative requirements.
Prepare and present cost reports and viability appraisals.
Provide commercial and contractual advice.
Demonstrate tendering experience and procure work packages for implementation.
Undertake contract administration and post-contract commercial service.
Requirements of the successful Cost Consultant:
Degree qualified in a relevant discipline.
Ideally, MRICS qualified or working towards RICS chartership or similar.
Relevant experience in a similar construction consultancy environment.
IT literate.
Strong communication and reporting skills.
Flexibility to travel if required.
