Responsibilities of the Building Surveyor:
Leading and delivering a wide range of professional and project-based building surveying commissions.
Managing contract administration, specifications, and tender documentation from start to finish.
Undertaking condition, measured, and defect surveys with autonomy and precision.
Providing expert technical advice across design, maintenance, refurbishment, and repair projects.
Preparing and presenting clear, insightful reports and professional recommendations to clients.
Building and maintaining strong client relationships, representing the consultancy with confidence and professionalism.
Supporting and mentoring junior surveyors, helping them achieve APC success.
Requirements:
A degree in Building Surveying (or related field).
Ideally MRICS qualified (or close to chartership).
3-5 years' consultancy experience with solid technical knowledge.
Proven experience across multiple sectors and project types.
Strong communication, reporting, and client-facing skills.
A self-starter with excellent project management and team collaboration abilities.
Commercially aware with a proactive, solution-driven approach.
