A leading multidisciplinary engineering consultancy with a busy London studio is seeking a Geotechnics Associate Director to take technical and financial responsibility for multiple projects, lead a team of engineers, and contribute to senior management decisions. This is a high-profile role offering exposure to a diverse range of projects, both in the UK and internationally.
The Role:
As Associate Director, you will:
- Lead geotechnical projects from concept through delivery, managing both technical and financial aspects
- Oversee and mentor a team of technical engineers
- Contribute to senior management activities and business development initiatives
- Represent the consultancy with clients, stakeholders, and project teams
- Deliver innovative, sustainable engineering solutions across varied project typologies
What They're Looking For:
- 10+ years' experience in geotechnical engineering
- Degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related discipline
- Chartered with ICE, GSL, or IOM3
- Strong technical expertise in ground engineering and commercial awareness of current market conditions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven leadership, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
- Self-motivated and capable of managing technical teams effectively
