We're looking for a Senior Transport Planner in Cambridge!
This role is ideal for an experienced Transport Planner who is ready to take on more project ownership, lead client-facing work and support the development of junior team members. You'll work on a broad range of development-led transport projects, managing deliverables, overseeing technical outputs, and contributing to sustainable, high-quality transport planning solutions for major clients.

You'll join an independent multidisciplinary consultancy with a strong reputation in development planning. Their Cambridge team delivers high-quality transport planning support for new developments across residential, commercial and mixed-use sectors. With a collaborative, high-retention culture, you'll take an active leadership role while continuing to broaden your experience across Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, access strategies, junction modelling and client engagement.
Role:
Working within a small, growing team, you will:
* Lead on preparing Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, Travel Plans and technical reports
* Oversee junction modelling work using ARCADY/PICADY
* Manage projects, including budgets, timelines and client communication
* Review and approve planning drawings including access design, visibility splays and swept path analysis
* Attend and contribute to client meetings, consultation events and local authority discussions
* Mentor junior staff and guide their technical development
* Prepare fee proposals, tenders and support business development activity
Requirements:
Degree in Geography, Transport Planning, Civil Engineering or similar
Strong experience in development planning
Proficiency with junction modelling software (ARCADY/PICADY)
Excellent written and verbal communication
Competent in Microsoft Office
Experience with AutoCAD, TEMPRO, TRICS or GIS is advantageous
Confidence managing projects and liaising directly with clients
