Senior / Principal Electrical Engineer

I'm working with a well-established building services engineering consultancy that is looking to appoint a Senior or Principal Electrical Engineer to join their growing team.
With over 30 years' experience in the industry, this consultancy specialises in delivering mechanical, electrical and public health (MEP) design solutions across a wide range of sectors including commercial, residential, healthcare, education, leisure and mixed-use developments. They are known for providing practical, sustainable engineering solutions from early-stage feasibility through to detailed design and project delivery.
Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of projects, they are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer who can play a key role in leading electrical design work, managing projects and supporting the development of junior engineers.
The Role
As a Senior / Principal Electrical Engineer, you will:
- Lead the electrical design on a range of building services projects
- Deliver projects from concept design through to completion
- Produce and review electrical calculations, specifications and technical reports
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers and other design disciplines
- Attend client and design team meetings
- Support the mentoring and development of junior engineers
- Contribute to sustainable and energy-efficient design strategies
About You
- Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
- Proven experience working within a building services consultancy
- Strong knowledge of electrical building services design including lighting, power, and distribution systems
- Experience delivering projects across sectors such as commercial, residential, healthcare or education
- Familiarity with relevant design standards and software
- Chartered or working towards Chartership (IET / CIBSE) is desirable
- Comfortable taking ownership of projects and engaging directly with clients
