Senior or Principal Electrical Engineer - Building Services

I'm working with a long-established and forward-thinking building services consultancy that's looking to appoint a Senior or Principal Electrical Engineer to join their Oxford team. With a strong reputation across the UK and internationally, they are known for delivering high-quality, sustainable MEP design across a wide range of sectors - including healthcare, education, residential, commercial, industrial, pharmaceutical, and public sector.
Their team is passionate about low-carbon design and technical excellence, with a friendly, collaborative culture and a strong emphasis on staff development and wellbeing.
What you'll be doing:
Leading or supporting electrical design on complex building services projects
Acting as Project Lead or working within a larger multidisciplinary team
Attending client meetings and contributing to presentations
Producing high-quality drawings, calculations, and specifications
Coordinating with engineers across MEP disciplines
Supporting and mentoring junior engineers
Helping maintain strong client relationships and contributing to repeat business
Applying sustainable methodologies and understanding renewable technologies
Staying up to date with industry standards, software, and best practices
What we're looking for:
Degree or HNC/HND in Electrical or Building Services Engineering
Chartered (or working towards) with CIBSE or IET
Strong software skills: Revit, Amtech, Relux/Dialux, MS Office
Knowledge of British & European Standards, Building Regs, and ideally HTMs
Understanding of HV/LV systems and embedded generation
BREEAM knowledge and a good grasp of sustainability principles
Collaborative mindset with strong communication and client-facing skills
Ability to manage and deliver technical quality on time and on budget
