Overview:

Our client is a hugely successful global construction consultancy, who are currently working on projects in the majority of sectors in construction, and they are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team in their Bristol office.

The client is looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor or Managing Quantity Surveyor who will be responsible for delivering work that's driven by excellence as well as doing the right thing. They are seeking a personable, enthusiastic, and professional Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the Infrastructure, Commercial and Procurement team to support the company's continuing growth.

As senior member of the team, you'll work closely with the delivery team to ensure commercial targets are met, risks are managed, and project controls are maintained. You will be working on a variety of highways, civils and public realm projects and programmes in the South West.

Key Responsibilities:

While your primary role will involve delivering high quality work for clients, your contribution to the wider business is also valued. As part of your journey, you'll have opportunities to get involved in areas such as People Leadership, Business Development, Technical Leadership and other exciting initiatives that improve how the business works.

The successful candidate will be required to:

  • Manage and administer the post contract administration of NEC4 contracts, including assessment of contractual change and payments, ensuring that projects remain within governance and adopt best practices.
  • Prepare and manage cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports across the lifecycle of your project.
  • Have good understanding of procurement documents required in the preparation of an ITT.
  • Establish professional relationships with clients, colleagues and other parties involved in the projects and programmes we support.
  • Manage relationships and collaborate with clients and external stakeholders to ensure client satisfaction and create new business opportunities.
  • Manage junior team members, and leading people and commissions as needed.


About you:

  • Experienced in civil infrastructure.
  • Must have extensive experience in NEC4 contracts (NEC4 Project Manager Accreditated would be preferable).
  • Must have a good understanding of procurement documents required in the preparation of an ITT.
  • Experience in managing, coaching and mentoring more junior colleagues and emerging leadership skills.
  • Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant subject.
  • Professional body membership, MRICS or working towards chartership.
