Senior Quantity Surveyor
Up to £85,000
London
Are you a consultancy-trained Quantity Surveyor looking to move client-side into a dynamic developer/contractor environment? This London-based role focuses on residential development, and we're seeking someone who brings strong pre construction experience from the living sectors - whether that's residential, co-living, student accommodation, or similar operational living environments.
The Role
As a Senior QS, you will be central to early-stage project success, with a strong emphasis on cost planning and commercial rigour. You will:
Lead cost planning and pricing for upcoming residential schemes.
Support PCSA activities with clear, accurate, commercially driven cost insight.
Provide detailed cost planning for Gateway 2 applications and ensure all processes and documentation meet internal and external requirements.
Conduct market testing and engage effectively with the supply chain to ensure robust and competitive pricing.
Build effective working relationships with internal teams, consultants and stakeholders.
Work autonomously with no direct line-management responsibility, but with the opportunity to mentor others when appropriate.
About You
From a consultancy QS background, now ready to step into a developer/contractor-side role.
Experienced in living sector projects such as residential, co-living, student accommodation or similar.
Ideally MRICS (or approaching it).
Naturally process-driven, organised and commercially astute.
Ambitious, proactive, with the drive and attitude to ensure high-quality outcomes.
A strong communicator who can influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
What's on Offer
Salary up to £85,000 basic for the right candidate
A genuine opportunity to transition into a developer-side environment
High autonomy with no management burden
The chance to shape early project direction through cost insight
A supportive environment where you can mentor and grow others
If you're ready to take the next step in your QS career and shape the future of residential living environments across London, we'd love to hear from you. Please contact Vekshana to discuss further.
