They are now seeking a highly skilled Senior Planner with advanced expertise in Primavera P6 to join their growing UK team.
The Role:
As Senior Planner, you will take ownership of programme development and management across all project phases, ensuring robust, accurate, and deliverable schedules that underpin project success.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading the preparation, management, and updating of project programmes exclusively in Primavera P6.
Establishing baseline schedules, undertaking regular progress updates, and maintaining logic integrity.
Carrying out critical path analysis, earned value management, and time impact assessments.
Supporting tendering and procurement activities with programme input and analysis.
Identifying programme risks and opportunities, developing mitigation and recovery strategies.
Producing clear, insightful reports and dashboards for clients and senior management.
Leading planning workshops and engaging with project stakeholders to drive programme alignment.
Reviewing contractor and subcontractor schedules to ensure integration into the master programme.
Mentoring and guiding junior planners to develop team capability.
About You
We are looking for a proactive, detail-focused planner with strong consultancy or contractor-side experience and excellent client-facing skills.
Essential skills & experience:
Degree in engineering, construction management, or related discipline (or equivalent professional experience).
Minimum 7 years' proven planning experience on major construction or infrastructure projects.
Advanced Primavera P6 user with demonstrable expertise in schedule development and management.
Strong understanding of NEC3/NEC4 contracts and their impact on programme management.
Experience across full project lifecycle: design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
Proven ability to undertake forensic delay analysis and scenario planning using P6.
Excellent analytical, reporting, and presentation skills.
Strong communication skills, with the confidence to influence stakeholders and present to clients.
Previous consultancy experience is desirable but not essential.
