We're working with a well-established civil engineering and infrastructure contractor delivering a broad range of projects across sectors including infrastructure, highways, earthworks and structural works. With a strong order book and continued growth, the business is looking to strengthen its pre-construction team with the appointment of an Estimator or Senior Estimator.
The Role
You'll be involved throughout the tender lifecycle, supporting the preparation of competitive and commercially robust bids across a range of civil engineering and infrastructure projects.
Key responsibilities include:
Reviewing tender enquiries, drawings and specifications
Preparing detailed cost estimates and pricing project packages
Obtaining and analysing subcontractor and supplier quotations
Producing cost build-ups for labour, plant and materials
Identifying risks, opportunities and value engineering options
Supporting the preparation and submission of tender documentation
Working closely with operational teams to ensure a smooth transition from tender to delivery
What They're Looking For
Estimating experience within civil engineering, infrastructure or major construction projects
Good understanding of tender processes and construction methodology
Ability to review technical documentation and develop accurate cost plans
Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills
Confident communicating with internal teams and supply chain partners
