We are working with a well-established civil engineering contractor delivering complex projects across London. Due to continued workload in and around the capital, they are looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor with strong experience in concrete structures and cut & carve construction.
The Role
As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the commercial management of civil engineering works from pre-construction through to final account. Projects typically involve reinforced concrete frames, basements, and complex substructures delivered in live environments.
Key responsibilities include:
Full commercial management of concrete and structural packages
Cost planning, forecasting, and monthly CVRs
Procurement and management of subcontractors
Valuations, variations, and change control
Supporting project teams with commercial and contractual advice
Preparation and agreement of final accounts
Experience Required
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering or structures
Strong background working with structures
Good understanding of standard forms of contract (NEC and/or JCT)
Strong communication and commercial awareness
