Junior Mechanical Engineer - Building Services Consultancy

I'm working with a well-regarded, design-led building services consultancy that's looking to hire a Junior Mechanical Engineer to support a growing pipeline of projects.
This opportunity is ideal for someone early in their career who has already gained hands-on experience within a building services consultancy and is now looking to develop further within a design-focused, sustainability-led environment.
The Company
This is a multidisciplinary engineering consultancy known for its work in building services, sustainability, and low-energy design.
They deliver projects across sectors including commercial, residential, education and science & technology, with a strong focus on high-performance, environmentally conscious buildings.
You'll be joining a collaborative, close-knit team where junior engineers are given real responsibility and exposure from an early stage.
The Role
You'll support the delivery of mechanical building services designs across a variety of projects, working alongside senior engineers and the wider design team.
Key responsibilities include:
Assisting in the design of HVAC systems, heating, cooling, and ventilation
Producing calculations, technical reports, and specifications
Supporting project delivery from concept through to completion
Attending design and coordination meetings with clients and other consultants
Undertaking site visits and surveys
Contributing to energy-efficient and sustainable design solutions
What They're Looking For
Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or similar
Experience within a building services consultancy (post-graduation)
Experience working on live building services projects
Understanding of mechanical systems design within the built environment
Familiarity with software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and IES (beneficial)
Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude
