Intermediate Mechanical Engineer - Building Services Consultancy

I'm working with a well-established, design-led building services consultancy seeking an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer to join their growing team.
This role is ideal for someone with post-graduate consultancy experience who is ready to take on greater responsibility, lead mechanical design workstreams, and contribute to a range of exciting, sustainable projects.

The Role
As an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer, you'll take ownership of mechanical design work and support senior engineers across live projects.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading design of mechanical building services systems, including HVAC, heating, cooling, and ventilation
Producing calculations, drawings, technical specifications, and reports
Coordinating with clients, architects, and other consultants
Conducting site surveys, inspections, and monitoring works
Mentoring or supporting junior engineers on projects
Driving sustainable and energy-efficient mechanical design solutions
What They're Looking For
Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or similar
Proven experience delivering mechanical systems design on live projects
Strong understanding of HVAC, heating, and ventilation systems within the built environment
Competent with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and IES (or similar)
Excellent communication skills, proactive mindset, and ability to manage project responsibilities
