My leading cost management, building surveying and project management client is looking for an experienced Fire/Quality Inspector to join their team in Birmingham. As a Fire/Quality Inspector, you will be overseeing passive fire protection systems and fire door repairs within large projects such as hospitals.
With a strong pipeline of work and presence in both London and Birmingham, my client has won a significant amount of projects and therefore are growing their team to assist with their delivery. They work in a variety of sectors and are committed to deliver high-quality services to their clients. As such, they are keen to welcome a Fire Inspector who demonstrates this commitment to excellence.
Requirements:
- Ideally chartered in a construction-related discipline (or equivalent) - Non chartered candidates will be considered depending on their experience
- Proven experience in passive fire protection and fire door repairs
- In depth knowledge of fire safety standards and building codes
- Confident in conducting site inspections
- Strong team player and excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to travel to sites as needed
- Good IT Skills
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough site inspections, liaising with all stakeholders
- Issue compliance certificates and maintain detailed records
- Monitor work quality and adherence to standards
- Assist in developing training programmes on fire safety standards
- Interrogate others document management portals - such as BIM360, Business Collaborator, 4P'
