About This Opportunity:
We are working on behalf of a leading, forward-thinking construction consultancy to appoint a Health & Safety Consultant. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to gain hands-on experience and training across a wide range of exciting projects - including new builds, renovations, and maintenance works - from inception to completion.

You'll support senior consultants and work directly with clients across multiple sectors. From helping advise on duties under CDM regulations to preparing health and safety files, this is a role where you'll learn, contribute, and grow.



Key Responsibilities:

Supporting senior Health & Safety Consultants with:

  • Advising clients on their responsibilities under CDM 2015 and relevant H&S legislation.
  • Coordinating health and safety aspects of design work.
  • Notifying project details to the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).
  • Collecting, reviewing, and distributing pre-construction information.
  • Assisting with preparation and updates to the Health & Safety File.
  • Facilitating communication between clients, designers, and contractors.
  • Reviewing construction phase plans and contractor compliance.
  • Liaising with Principal Contractors and design teams.
  • Supporting the selection of competent designers and contractors.


What You'll Bring:

  • A relevant degree (IOSH accredited preferred) - e.g., Construction, Health & Safety, Design or Engineering.
  • Keen interest in construction health and safety and the CDM 2015 regulations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organised, methodical and eager to learn.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
