As an Assistant Planner, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining construction programmes across a range of civil engineering projects. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, you will help ensure projects are delivered efficiently, on time, and within scope.
Key responsibilities include:
Developing, updating, and refining detailed construction programmes, including activity-based work sequences, milestones, start/finish dates, durations, and critical paths.
Allocating and tracking resources such as labour, plant, and materials.
Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to identify and resolve potential scheduling challenges.
Analysing risks and implementing contingency plans to keep projects on track.
Supporting the estimating and commercial teams with programme input for bids and tenders.
Providing advice on progress, changes, and improvements throughout project lifecycles.
