An established and forward-thinking property and construction consultancy is now seeking a motivated Apprentice Building Surveyor to join their growing team in Cambridge.

Responsibilities
As an Apprentice Building Surveyor, you'll work closely with an experienced and supportive Building Surveying team, gaining hands-on experience while studying towards a recognised qualification. You'll be involved in a wide variety of professional surveying and project-based work, with structured training and mentorship throughout your apprenticeship.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with building condition surveys and defect inspections

  • Supporting the preparation of technical reports and client documentation

  • Helping produce specifications, schedules of work and tender information

  • Assisting with contractor tender reviews and basic contract documentation

  • Attending site inspections to observe quality, programme and health & safety

  • Supporting fee tracking and basic project administration

  • Attending client, consultant and contractor meetings alongside senior surveyors

  • Travelling to sites across the region as required

Requirements
This opportunity is ideal for someone at the early stages of their career who is eager to learn and develop within a consultancy environment.

You'll ideally have:

  • A strong interest in Building Surveying and the construction industry

  • A relevant qualification (A-levels, T-Level, HNC/HND or similar) or practical experience

  • A willingness to study towards a Building Surveying degree and RICS accreditation

  • Good communication skills and a professional, proactive attitude

  • Basic IT skills (AutoCAD knowledge is beneficial but not essential)

  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (preferred)
