Transport AutoCAD Technician

I'm working with a well-established transport and infrastructure consultancy that delivers integrated services across transport planning, highways (S278/S38) design, drainage, environmental planning, and project delivery. Operating nationally, the business works with a diverse range of public and private sector clients on development-led schemes.
The consultancy is continuing to expand it's new Birmingham office and is looking to appoint a Transport AutoCAD Technician to join one of the early hires in the team. This role is focused on supporting the transport planning team, specialising in development planning projects, and helping deliver high-quality, technically accurate design outputs.
The Role
Support the transport planning team on development-led projects
Produce and update highways and transport drawings using AutoCAD
Prepare S278/S38 layouts, junction designs, and general arrangement drawings
Assist with drawings for Transport Assessments and Transport Statements
Ensure compliance with UK design standards and local authority requirements
Coordinate with internal project teams to meet deadlines
Maintain accurate electronic project records
Contribute to the establishment and growth of the Birmingham office
Requirements
Strong AutoCAD skills (essential)
Experience in highways, transport, or civil engineering design
Exposure to development planning projects
Knowledge of S278/S38 schemes (desirable)
Good attention to detail and a collaborative mindset
