A leading civil engineering and infrastructure contractor is looking for a Subcontract Procurement Lead to take ownership of the subcontract procurement process across a range of major projects.

You'll be responsible for managing tender enquiries, negotiating with key supply chain partners, and ensuring subcontract packages deliver the best technical and commercial outcomes. This is a key strategic role, working closely with estimating, commercial, and project delivery teams to maintain strong supplier relationships and drive value throughout the project lifecycle.

What you'll do:

  • Lead the full procurement process from enquiry to award

  • Manage and develop the approved supply chain

  • Review tender returns and carry out commercial evaluations

  • Ensure subcontractor compliance with HSEQ and insurance requirements

  • Support continuous improvement of procurement systems and processes

What we're looking for:

  • Proven experience in subcontract procurement within a civil engineering or construction environment

  • Strong negotiation and commercial awareness

  • Knowledge of construction contracts and tendering procedures

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with procurement systems advantageous

  • HNC/Degree qualified preferred | MCIPS desirable
