A leading civil engineering and infrastructure contractor is looking for a Subcontract Procurement Lead to take ownership of the subcontract procurement process across a range of major projects.
You'll be responsible for managing tender enquiries, negotiating with key supply chain partners, and ensuring subcontract packages deliver the best technical and commercial outcomes. This is a key strategic role, working closely with estimating, commercial, and project delivery teams to maintain strong supplier relationships and drive value throughout the project lifecycle.
What you'll do:
Lead the full procurement process from enquiry to award
Manage and develop the approved supply chain
Review tender returns and carry out commercial evaluations
Ensure subcontractor compliance with HSEQ and insurance requirements
Support continuous improvement of procurement systems and processes
What we're looking for:
Proven experience in subcontract procurement within a civil engineering or construction environment
Strong negotiation and commercial awareness
Knowledge of construction contracts and tendering procedures
Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with procurement systems advantageous
HNC/Degree qualified preferred | MCIPS desirable
