We are currently working with a leading civil engineering contractor who is seeking an experienced Shift-Manager/Sub Agent to oversee heavy civils operations on site. You'll be responsible for the safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery of works during your shift.

Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you'll take charge of all on-site activities during your shift, making sure work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in line with the programme. You'll keep detailed records of progress and site events, manage key documentation across safety, quality, environmental, and commercial areas, and stay on top of daily planning and method statements. You'll also make sure the right materials and subcontractors are in place when needed, ensure compliance with environmental standards, act as the Site Incident Controller if required, and lead your team to deliver high-quality results throughout each shift.

Additional Duties:

Support reporting, subcontractor performance, and help identify any delivery issues to support claims or cost control.

Requirements:

  • Civil Engineering degree or HNC (or equivalent)

  • Heavy civils or deep structural experience in a similar shift role

  • Valid CSCS (Black/Gold/White)
