We are working with a well-established civil engineering contractor delivering complex and technically demanding projects across London. Due to sustained growth and a strong forward order book, they are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with a proven background in concrete structures and cut & carve construction.

The Role

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take ownership of the commercial performance of projects, providing leadership to site teams and junior commercial staff while acting as a key commercial interface with clients and subcontractors.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Full commercial leadership of concrete, substructure, and basement packages

  • Cost planning, forecasting, and preparation of monthly CVRs

  • Procurement strategy, subcontract negotiation, and commercial risk management

  • Management of variations, change control, and contractual correspondence

  • Supporting and mentoring Quantity Surveyors and Assistant QSs

  • Client liaison and contribution to commercial reporting at senior level

  • Agreement of final accounts and close-out of projects



Experience Required

  • Extensive experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering or structures

  • Demonstrable experience working on structures

  • Strong knowledge of NEC and/or JCT forms of contract

  • Commercially decisive, confident managing risk, and capable of leading others
