We are working with a well-established civil engineering contractor delivering complex and technically demanding projects across London. Due to sustained growth and a strong forward order book, they are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with a proven background in concrete structures and cut & carve construction.
The Role
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take ownership of the commercial performance of projects, providing leadership to site teams and junior commercial staff while acting as a key commercial interface with clients and subcontractors.
Key responsibilities include:
Full commercial leadership of concrete, substructure, and basement packages
Cost planning, forecasting, and preparation of monthly CVRs
Procurement strategy, subcontract negotiation, and commercial risk management
Management of variations, change control, and contractual correspondence
Supporting and mentoring Quantity Surveyors and Assistant QSs
Client liaison and contribution to commercial reporting at senior level
Agreement of final accounts and close-out of projects
Experience Required
Extensive experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering or structures
Demonstrable experience working on structures
Strong knowledge of NEC and/or JCT forms of contract
Commercially decisive, confident managing risk, and capable of leading others
