We're working with a leading specialist engineering contractor recognised for delivering some of London's most complex and innovative projects. Their integrated, value-focused approach covers major demolition, piling, civil engineering, and bespoke reinforced concrete sub- and superstructure works.

They have an impressive track record on high-profile London schemes, delivered under NEC, JCT and bespoke contract forms. Known for developing smart engineering solutions, they combine technical expertise with a risk-led planning approach and strong in-house delivery capability, enabling fast, safe and high-quality project outcomes.

The Role

This project-based role works closely with the operational leadership team, providing full commercial and contract administration responsibility for either a major standalone project or multiple concurrent schemes. As the business operates as principal contractor on most works, under a single profit centre, you'll gain end-to-end visibility across the full project lifecycle and the breadth of disciplines delivered in-house.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maximise project profitability by managing and challenging the efficiency of an integrated self-delivery model

  • Identify, manage and mitigate contractual and commercial risks and opportunities

  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with clients to support shared objectives and uphold the contractor's reputation

  • Work closely with operational teams to ensure robust contract administration and fulfilment of all obligations

About You

  • Strong track record in a similar commercial role within demolition, piling, civil engineering or complex structural works

  • Experience with self-delivery models

  • Knowledge of NEC, JCT or bespoke contract forms

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to provide pragmatic, commercially focused solutions

  • Strong people management skills, with the ability to drive performance

  • Highly organised, structured and outcome-driven

  • Ambitious and looking to progress within a growing business
