Senior P6 Planner - Contract Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior P6 Planner to join a major infrastructure programme in Reading. This role offers the opportunity to work on a complex and high-profile portfolio, improving planning processes, mentoring less experienced planners, and driving performance across multiple projects.

Location: Reading (on-site Tuesdays and Thursdays, office close to the station)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: 4 months initially
Day Rate: Up to £650 per day (PAYE, on-payroll)
Hours: 37.5 per week

The Role:
In this role, you will be responsible for establishing and enhancing planning processes and standards, developing templates, and supporting the creation of a Primavera 6 database. You will manage a portfolio of 30-40 schemes, providing leadership and guidance to uplift overall planning capability. You will also work closely with stakeholders to navigate and overcome previous delivery challenges, restoring confidence in planning and delivery.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven Primavera P6 planning experience

  • Experience managing large, complex project portfolios (engineering background preferred)

  • Construction planning experience beneficial

  • Strong understanding of NEC contracts

  • Knowledge of AMP7/AMP8 capital schemes, treatment, and networks

  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills
