We're recruiting on behalf of a leading engineering and construction business, seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Manager to provide strategic leadership across high-value projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned commercial professional to shape delivery, influence strategy, and lead teams on some of the UK's most challenging schemes.
The Role
As Senior Commercial Manager, you'll be responsible for ensuring the commercial success of large-scale projects, including:
Leading and developing commercial teams to optimise project performance
Driving financial control, forecasting, and risk management
Creating and implementing commercial strategies in line with business goals
Managing CVRs, reporting, and stakeholder engagement at senior level
Overseeing contract negotiations and dispute resolution
Coaching and mentoring staff to maintain high standards and support progression
About You
We're looking for a proven leader with:
Significant experience in commercial management within construction or engineering
Strong knowledge of contracts, procurement, and cost management principles
A track record of successfully leading large teams and delivering complex projects
Excellent analytical, negotiation, and presentation skills
Confidence in financial systems and reporting tools
