Principal / Associate Civil Engineer


Location: Didcot | Hybrid Working: 1-2 Days in Office


Are you an experienced Civil Engineer ready to lead the delivery of innovative infrastructure projects?
We're working with a respected, long-established consultancy known for its expertise in infrastructure design, transport planning, and development-led civil engineering. With a strong pipeline of residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments, they're now looking for a Principal or Associate-level Civil Engineer to take a key leadership role.


In this position, you'll provide technical leadership, oversee project teams, and be a trusted advisor to clients. Your strategic thinking and engineering know-how will directly shape how complex infrastructure projects are delivered from concept to completion.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Leading multi-disciplinary project teams on infrastructure and development projects

  • Providing technical guidance and quality assurance on designs and reports

  • Managing client relationships and supporting business development

  • Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to team growth

  • Delivering innovative, cost-effective, and sustainable engineering solutions

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience in civil engineering project leadership

  • Strong background in development infrastructure - highways, drainage, earthworks, etc.

  • Comfortable managing projects, teams, and client expectations

  • Experience with design tools such as Civils 3D, MicroDrainage, or similar

  • Chartered or working towards chartership (CEng/MICE preferred)
