I'm partnering with a well-established, award-winning engineering consultancy recognised for delivering innovative and practical infrastructure solutions across a wide range of sectors. With decades of expertise and a growing presence in the Midlands, their Derby office is expanding, offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Principal Civil Engineer to take a leading role in shaping its future.
This is a high-impact position for someone with proven design consultancy experience who enjoys driving projects, mentoring senior staff, and maintaining strategic oversight of infrastructure and development projects.
What they're looking for:
Extensive UK-based design consultancy experience across multiple sectors
Proven client-facing skills with commercial awareness
Expert knowledge of Section 278, 38, 185 & 104 agreements
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil3D, InfoDrainage (or similar)
10+ years' industry experience with leadership and strategic project delivery capability
Confident communicator with strong organisational and mentoring skills
Ability to lead multiple projects from concept through delivery while maintaining a hands-on strategic role
