Principal Civil Design Engineer
Location: Southwark, London
Salary: £58k - £65k
Full-Time | Hybrid Working (2 days in the office per week)
An established and trusted civil engineering and transport planning consultancy in London is seeking a Principal Civil Engineer to join their growing team of 10. With a strong presence in the residential market, this is an exciting opportunity to take on a key role in an established civils team.

What You'll Do
You will be the technical lead on residential sector projects, ranging from small to large-scale housing developments. Your responsibilities will include:
Delivering flood risk advice to support planning applications (FRA preparation)
Designing strategic highways and drainage infrastructure
Preparing detailed design drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
Utilising Civil 3D, Site 3D, and Causeway Flow
Designing and submitting SuDS schemes for adoption and/or long-term maintenance
What You'll Need
A degree in Civil Engineering or related field
Proven experience in the design and delivery of residential infrastructure projects
Strong skills in Causeway Flow, Civil 3D, and Site 3D
Ability to lead projects, mentor junior staff, and work independently
Experience with flood risk assessments and sustainable drainage systems
