Freelance M&E Quantity Surveyor - Iconic Healthcare Project - Immediate Start
A highly respected London-based cost consultancy, are seeking an experienced Freelance M&E Quantity Surveyor for an immediate start. This is a fantastic opportunity to join the team delivering a landmark healthcare project in Central London.
Location: London
Contract: Full-time, initial 12-month contract
Day Rate: £450 - £500 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
The Role
You will play a key role in overseeing all M&E cost management aspects of a high-profile healthcare development. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical knowledge, commercial acumen, and experience working on large-scale MEP packages.
Key Responsibilities
Delivering full pre- and post-contract quantity surveying services for M&E packages
Supporting cost planning, value engineering, procurement, and contract administration
Liaising closely with design and project teams to drive value and ensure cost efficiency
Producing accurate reporting and forecasts in line with client expectations
Candidate Requirements
Demonstrable experience as an M&E Quantity Surveyor, ideally on healthcare or major public sector schemes
Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems and cost structures
Comfortable working as part of a wider consultancy team and engaging directly with end clients
Ability to work independently and manage workload in a fast-paced environment
