Electrical Engineer - Building Services Consultancy
Location: London
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience
Excellent Training | Hybrid Working | Varied Project Work

I'm working with a well-regarded building services consultancy that's growing their electrical team with the addition of an Electrical Engineer. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a few years of experience in building services design who's looking to develop their skills further in a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

This company has a genuinely collaborative and welcoming team culture. People enjoy being in the office because they're surrounded by colleagues who are driven, down-to-earth, and passionate about doing quality work - and they know how to have a good time too.

Why consider this role?

  • Competitive salary

  • 24 days holiday (plus bank holidays) - 3 days taken between Christmas and New Year

  • 5% employee / 3% employer pension contributions

  • 37.5-hour working week

  • Hybrid working supported as you progress, with 3 days in the office / 2 from home typically offered to Senior level and above

  • A wide variety of interesting projects across sectors (excluding high-end resi)

  • Strong focus on training, development, and mentoring

The role:
As an Electrical Engineer, you'll be involved in the full lifecycle of building services projects - from surveys and reports to design, coordination, and delivery. You'll work alongside experienced engineers and other disciplines to deliver well-considered, practical electrical solutions.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Supporting the design of electrical building services systems (lighting, power, distribution, etc.)

  • Producing specifications, drawings, and calculations

  • Attending design and technical meetings

  • Contributing to condition surveys, feasibility reports, and project documentation

  • Collaborating with other team members and supporting junior staff as needed

  • Working with design software including Amtech, Revit, and BIM

  • Taking part in ongoing training and professional development

What they're looking for:

  • Experience in electrical building services design

  • Familiarity with industry standards and design software

  • A team-focused mindset and willingness to learn

  • Good communication skills and a proactive attitude

  • A genuine interest in sustainable, efficient design

If you're looking for a role that offers hands-on project involvement, technical progression, and a team that actually enjoys working together, this could be a great fit.
