Are you a Construction Manager looking to work on a long term civils scheme?

Then look no further!

A renowned civil engineering contractor has opened up a space on their project for a freelance Construction Manager. You will be responsible for directly leading and managing a team on site to deliver works to the correct standard, within budget, to schedule, all while ensuring health and safety standards are met.

As the Construction Manager, your duties will be (but not limited):

  • Ensure the delivery team understand the contract programme requirements

  • Write and review Subcontract scopes of works as part of the tender process

  • Produce cost forecasts for each packages of work.

  • Review subcontract or tender returns.

  • Inform the Agents/Sub Agents of delivery plans with enough time for them to plan works.

  • Ensure subcontractor packages are being delivered to proposed plans and budget.

  • Liaise with the project planner, the commercial manager, and the design manager.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or construction management

  • CSCS

  • SMSTS

  • Experience gained in a similar role (civil engineering projects)
