We're seeking a motivated QS/SQS to join a forward-thinking specialist subcontractor, taking ownership of commercial delivery across a range of technically advanced schemes. This role combines traditional quantity surveying with contract management, offering variety and responsibility in equal measure.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing costs from tender through to final account
* Preparing valuations, variations, and commercial reports
* Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts
* Monitoring budgets, profitability, and project governance
* Supporting bids and tenders with commercial input
* Building strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and project teams
What we're looking for:
* Proven QS/SQS experience within construction, civil engineering, or specialist subcontracting
* Strong knowledge of contracts (NEC experience desirable)
* Excellent commercial acumen and analytical ability
* Skilled communicator with proven negotiation ability
* Proactive, detail-driven, and comfortable managing multiple projects
