Civil Design Engineer / Senior Civil Engineer
Location: Bristol City Centre | Full Time | Permanent | 3:2 Hybrid Working
We're working with a forward-thinking civil engineering consultancy in the centre of Bristol that's on the lookout for a Civil Design Engineer or Senior Civil Engineer to join their growing infrastructure team.
Why this could be a great move:
This is a people-first, employee-owned consultancy that's built a strong reputation across the South West and beyond. They work with some of the most well-known developers in the region, delivering technically robust and sustainable residential infrastructure. The Bristol office is busy, collaborative, and growing - offering great long-term potential.
What you'll be doing:
You'll take the lead on delivering detailed designs for a range of residential development projects, and help guide junior engineers along the way. The role covers:
Surface and foul drainage design (including SuDS)
Estate roads and highway layouts
Pavement and levels design
Earthworks (cut and fill calculations, strategy)
Utility coordination and clash checking
Full Section 38, 104, 106 and 278 submissions
What you'll need to bring:
Civil engineering design experience in a UK consultancy setting
Good working knowledge of Sectional Agreements (S104, S106, S38, S278)
Familiarity with software such as Civil 3D, PDS, Site 3D, and Micro/InfoDrainage
What you'll get in return:
Competitive salary + bonus scheme
Hybrid working (3 days in the office, 2 from home)
Paid overtime (pre-agreed)
Chartership support and mentoring
Continuous professional development
Employee perks and discounts
Profit share through Employee Ownership Trust (tax-free bonuses!)
This is a business that's pushing back against the acquisition trend - instead, they've handed ownership to the people who actually make the work happen. If you want a career in a company that listens and rewards its staff, this is a strong option.
