We are seeking a Civil Design Engineer to join a close-knit team in South Oxfordshire, not far from Reading.

Key Responsibilities:
Design of drainage, services, road infrastructure, and earthworks across a broad range of projects.
Preparation of drawings from concept to construction stage.
Preparation of Flood Risk Assessments, Drainage Statements, Service Strategy Reports, and design of Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems (SUDS).
Design and detailing of works for highways (s.278, s.38, etc.), drainage agreements (s.104, s.185, etc.), and other relevant consents, including negotiation of technical approvals.
Conduct site audits and feasibility assessments.
Grow civil engineering expertise while maintaining and developing client relationships.
Provide management, leadership, support, and coaching to other team members in technical work and report writing.
Key Skills & Experience:
Relevant degree and at least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
Experience producing reports such as Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Statements.
Proficiency in AutoCAD for drawing preparation.
Experience designing foul and surface water drainage systems using MicroDrainage.
Experience with vehicle swept path assessments using AutoTrack.
Familiarity with ground modelling software for horizontal/vertical alignment and earthworks design.
Experience negotiating with highway authorities, drainage authorities, and the Environment Agency.
Knowledge of national guidance such as DMRB, TSRGD, Manual for Streets, Sewers for Adoption, and Building Regulations.
Strong project and client management skills with excellent written and verbal communication.
Positive, creative, and collaborative approach to problem-solving.
Sound commercial awareness.
