A leading multidisciplinary engineering consultancy with a busy London studio is seeking a Geotechnics Associate Director to take technical and financial responsibility for multiple projects, lead a team of engineers, and contribute to senior management decisions. This is a high-profile role offering exposure to a diverse range of projects, both in the UK and internationally.
The Role:
As Associate Director, you will:
Lead geotechnical projects from concept through delivery, managing both technical and financial aspects
Oversee and mentor a team of technical engineers
Contribute to senior management activities and business development initiatives
Represent the consultancy with clients, stakeholders, and project teams
Deliver innovative, sustainable engineering solutions across varied project typologies
What They're Looking For:
10+ years' experience in geotechnical engineering
Degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related discipline
Chartered with ICE, GSL, or IOM3
Strong technical expertise in ground engineering and commercial awareness of current market conditions
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proven leadership, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
Self-motivated and capable of managing technical teams effectively
