Assistant Site Engineer - Civil Engineering

Location: Dartford, Kent

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Assistant Site Engineer to support the delivery of a current civil infrastructure project in Dartford. This role will work closely with the Site and Section Engineers to ensure works are completed safely, accurately, and in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with setting out activities using Total Station equipment
  • Support the delivery of setting out for a range of civil engineering works
  • Review drawings and technical information, escalating queries to the Section Engineer where required
  • Contribute to the implementation of Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
  • Maintain accurate site records and documentation
  • Support quality control and ensure works meet required specifications
  • Promote and maintain high health & safety standards on site
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • Previous experience in an Assistant Site Engineer or similar setting-out role within civil engineering
  • Experience working on infrastructure or large-scale civil projects (desirable)
  • A valid and relevant CSCS card
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a site team
  • A proactive and detail-oriented approach
