Ready to build your career with a consultancy that genuinely invests in you? We're partnering with a well-established and fast-growing construction consultancy that's expanding its Manchester team and looking for an ambitious Assistant Building Surveyor to join them on their journey.
This is an exciting opportunity to get hands-on with a diverse portfolio of projects across education, healthcare and residential sectors, including complex, multi-million-pound schemes. You'll be supported by experienced surveyors, benefit from structured mentorship, and follow a clear, well-defined APC pathway designed to help you achieve chartership.
You'll join a friendly, collaborative office where learning is encouraged, development is prioritised, and your contribution truly matters.
What you'll be doing:
- Supporting senior surveyors across a broad mix of professional and project work
- Assisting with contract administration and specification writing
- Carrying out measured surveys, condition surveys and site inspections
- Producing technical reports and documentation with guidance from experienced colleagues
- Providing advice on design, construction, maintenance and repair works
- Working closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams
- Gaining wide-ranging exposure to all areas of building surveying to support APC progression
What we're looking for:
- A degree in Building Surveying
- Ideally 1+ years' experience within a consultancy environment
- A strong desire to progress towards chartership (full APC support provided)
- Confident written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive, organised mindset with a genuine eagerness to learn
- Interest in sectors such as education, healthcare and residential
