Senior / Principal Civil Engineering Technician

I'm working with a well-established, growing civil and structural engineering consultancy that's looking to appoint a Senior / Principal Civil Engineering Technician into their London team.
This is a key hire for the business - they've got a strong pipeline of work and need someone experienced who can hit the ground running, take ownership of design output, and support project delivery across a range of schemes.
The Role
You'll be a senior figure within the civils team, producing and coordinating infrastructure designs across a mix of residential, commercial and mixed-use developments.
This role suits someone who enjoys being hands-on technically but also wants a level of responsibility and influence within a growing team.
What You'll Be Doing
Producing detailed roads, drainage and external works drawings
Leading on Civil 3D modelling and design coordination
Supporting the design of highways and drainage (SuDS) schemes
Working closely with engineers and external stakeholders
Taking projects from early concept through to construction
Helping to mentor more junior technicians where required
What They're Looking For
Strong experience as a Civil Engineering Technician in a consultancy environment
Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D
Solid background in drainage and highways/infrastructure design
Good working knowledge of UK standards and approvals (S104, S38, S278)
Able to work independently and manage your own workload
Comfortable stepping into a senior or principal-level position
